Archive and restore customers or contracts

Updated on First published Approx. 2 min read

Archive records when they are no longer needed in active lists. Archiving retains their identity and linked history.

Archive a customer or contract

  1. Open Sales Manager and find the customer. For a contract, open that customer first and find the contract card.
  2. Select the record’s cog to open its options menu.
  3. Select Archive Customer or Archive Contract.
  4. Read the confirmation and check the record’s name. Select its archive button to proceed, or close the confirmation to keep the record active.
  5. Check the record in the appropriate Archived list.

For example, archive North Yard delivery after work finishes rather than renaming it for another site.

Archived records have not been permanently deleted. If you opened the confirmation by mistake, cancel before any change is made.

Find and restore archived records

  1. For customers, start at Sales Manager and select Archived.
  2. For contracts, open their customer first and select that customer’s Archived button.
  3. Search for the record in the archived view. If Archived is absent, that loaded list has no archived records.
  4. Open the record’s options menu and select Unarchive Customer or Unarchive Contract as appropriate.
  5. Select Back to All and check the restored record in the active list.

Customers and contracts have separate archived lists. An archived contract remains under its owning customer.

See customer details and contract details.
