Create an assignment

Have the intended resource, customer and contract ready. For example, assign TH-04 to North Yard delivery on Monday and Tuesday.

Create a full assignment

  1. Find the resource row and intended date. In single-week view, left-click or right-click an empty date cell. In multi-week view, right-click it. Choose Create Assignment; a booked cell's menu can offer New Assignment.
  2. Click Add a Contract, choose the customer and click the intended contract. Use the selector's customer or contract creation actions if needed; see create a customer and create a contract.
  3. To replace a selected contract, click its header (Swap Contract) and choose another through Add a Contract.
  4. In Dates, check Start Date and End Date. Click a date field to open the range calendar, select the start and end, then click OK. Cancel leaves the previous range.
  5. Under Working Pattern, click the weekday buttons to include or exclude days. Check the resulting assignment-day count; unavailable days outside a short period cannot be selected.
  6. Enter Assignment purpose and optional Start Time in HH:MM format. Use Add more resources for paired labour or assets.
  7. Click Assign. With no conflicts, this creates the booking. If Review Conflicts opens, follow the conflict options.

The cross closes the form before assignment. A date typed or selected in the form is not booked until you submit.

Make a quick multi-week booking

  1. Left-click an empty date cell to open the resource's inline editor.
  2. Click each date cell to add or remove it from the selected dates.
  3. Click Assign to Contract, choose the customer and click the contract.
  4. Check the selected dates and contract, then click Save above the row. Cancel abandons the inline draft.
  5. Check the resulting booking on the board. Reopen the editor if you need to retry or correct it.

Finish with Save or Cancel before switching to another resource's edit. For detailed dates, paired resources and explicit conflict choices, use the full form.

Add work on an occupied day

  1. Find the row for the crane you want to book and the intended date. If it is a different crane, use that crane’s own resource row.
  2. Right-click the occupied booking and choose New Assignment. If several bookings are stacked, left-click the stack to open the selector, then right-click the intended booking inside it and choose New Assignment.
  3. Check the resource identity and dates in Create Assignment. A menu opened on a booking can preselect its current contract and working days; check these rather than accepting them automatically.
  4. Keep the current contract if intended, or click its header (Swap Contract) and use Add a Contract to choose another.
  5. Complete the full Create Assignment form, then click Assign.
  6. If Review Conflicts opens, inspect the existing work, tick I've reviewed all conflicts and choose Allow All Bookings only if you intend the same resource to have multiple bookings on that day. This immediately submits the additional booking. Use back to correct the resource or dates instead if the conflict is a mistake.

Left-clicking an existing booking opens its weekly contract editor in single-week view or its inline editor in multi-week view; left-clicking stacked bookings opens their selector. Those actions edit existing work. Use the right-click New Assignment action to create separate work on an occupied day. A different crane that has an empty cell uses Create Assignment from that cell’s menu.
